Ruben Amorim claimed that he is trying his best to fit Alejandro Garnacho into his Manchester United system amid his transfer links to Chelsea.

The Argentine winger was included in the Manchester United starting lineup for the Premier League clash against Fulham on Sunday, amid transfer links to Chelsea. Garnacho has fallen out of favour since Amorim took charge at Old Trafford, however, on Sunday he spent 81 minutes on the pitch before being replaced by Kobbie Mainoo.

After the match, the Red Devils boss was quizzed on Garnacho's future at the club, to which he admitted that he is trying to find the best possible position for the young winger in his system, although he did not give a concrete answer if the player would stay. United have shown interest in Chelsea's Christopher Nkunku and there has been talk of the club sending Garnacho the other way to secure the Frenchman's services.

Speaking to reporters, the Portuguese manager said when pressed on Garnacho's future: "That, nobody knows. Anything can happen. He is improving in every part of the game: the understanding, when to defend. I am trying to find the best position for him, today he played a bit open, not so inside. We need guys who can play one v one."
