Dwight Gayle was one of West Bromwich Albion’s stellar summer additions following the club’s relegation to the Championship.
Darren Moore managed to recruit the striker from Newcastle United on a season-long loan deal.
Since making the move to The Hawthorns, Gayle has started 12 Championship games and has come off the bench in a further four.
In that time he has scored nine goals and registered one assist, but since suffering an injury against Derby County, the forward has had a spell away from the first XI.
In fact, Moore has kept faith with Hal Robson-Kanu and Jay Rodriguez during Gayle’s absence, but the striker has been included on the bench.
After earning a 2-1 victory over Swansea City in midweek, the Baggies head into this weekend’s action on the back of a three-game winning run in the second tier.
