Manchester City have been dealt an injury blow after Erling Haaland was forced off against Bournemouth, but his replacement scored almost immediately.

During the FA Cup quarter-final tie between Bournemouth and City, Haaland was caught by Lewis Cook, and also crashed into the advertising boards as he fell. Following treatment from the physio, the Norway international attempted to play on but eventually needed substituting; his replacement, Omar Marmoush, scored within two minutes of replacing him. Haaland did score the opening goal for City but he also missed a penalty.

City will surely hope that Haaland's injury is not serious. The 24-year-old has scored 30 goals in 40 games in all competitions and City will need his firepower if they are to qualify for the Champions League. They are currently fifth, but are only one point clear of both Newcastle and Brighton.

Marmoush has scored five goals in 11 games since moving to City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January. He was prolific in Germany, netting 37 times in 67 games.
