Ted Lasso star Brett Goldstein has sent a “potentially get excited” message to fans as speculation builds regarding Season 4 of the hit show.

A global television audience thought that they had seen the last of Lasso in May 2023 when he brought an eventful coaching stint in England to a close and returned to his native America. At that point, lead character and writer Jason Sudeikis appeared to have shelved the award-winning production indefinitely.

Rumours have, however, been circulating for some time now about AFC Richmond returning to Apple TV+ streaming services around the world. It has been suggested, with popular characters jumping back on board, that pre-production on a fourth series could begin in early 2025.

Sudeikis has made no comment in public, but executives at Warner Bros have hinted at plans being put in place. Several cast members have aired their excitement at picking up where they left off, with Ted Lasso forever holding a special place in their hearts.

Goldstein, who plays foul-mouthed player-turned-coach Roy Kent, falls into that category. He continues to be quizzed on Season 4, and has told about his current emotions: “Potentially I'm potentially excited about anything. Potentially.” He added when asked if he has a message for those clinging to the hope of seeing Lasso return to their lives: “Potentially get excited.”
