Wrexham are now back-to-back promotion winners and stars of an award-winning documentary series, with Reynolds and McElhenney earning plenty of plaudits. They have never shied away from the fact that further investment will be required from outside sources in order to reach the Premier League Promised Land.
WHAT AN INSIDER SAID
They are, however, at Wrexham for the long haul, with an insider telling of how the Red Dragons could be passed down from one generation to the next: “The TV show, which Ryan and Rob also have ownership stakes in, is the same deal – it’s something their kids can profit from long after they’re gone, especially in the streaming era when TV shows can have extra-long shelf lives. This was never a passing fancy for either of them, and they’ve already decided that they’re in this for the rest of their lives.”

Reynolds is so emotionally tied to Wrexham that he is said to consider them more important to his professional life than the Deadpool movie franchise. Life & Style’s source added: “Ryan’s work in the Deadpool movies has generated billions of dollars in ticket sales and it’s kept him firmly on the Hollywood A-list, but the Wrexham project has been a lot closer to his heart and the partnership with Rob McElhenney continues to bear real fruit.”
