How much do the Everton players earn annually and who receives the most into their account?
Everton's recent sporting picture has been a mix of struggles and potential. The club has faced challenges in consistently competing for European spots, barely escaping relegation from the Premier League more often than they will have anticipated in recent years.
The Toffees have also been hit by Premier League's Profitability and Sustainability Rules (PSR), in unison with the club reporting losses for successive seasons. As a result, they have been forced to sell key players due to financial constraints.
In 2022, they sold Richarlison — one of the club's most potent attacking threats at the time — to Tottenham for a significant fee. Similarly, they lost Lucas Digne to Aston Villa in the same year, who had been a key figure for several seasons.
Despite these setbacks, Everton's youth academy continues to produce talent, with players like Anthony Gordon making an impact before his January 2023 move to Newcastle United.
The club is now in a rebuilding phase, aiming to solidify its position in the Premier League while attempting to return to its former competitive stature.
So, who is the highest earner at the Everton this season? And who is on the opposite end of the spectrum?

Everton have three goalkeepers on their payroll, with England international Jordan Pickford well clear of the rest with an annual salary of over £6m.
Seasoned Bosnian custodian Asmir Begovic is the second-highest earning goalkeeper with an annual salary of £1.56m, with Joao Virginia the lowest-paid out of all three.

With an annual salary of £5.2m, James Tarkowski is the highest-earning defender at Everton, ahead of fellow countryman Michael Keane, who earns over £4m.
Vitaliy Mykolenko, who has arguably been their best defender in the 2024-25 season, is earning just a shade over £3m. What do you think, Evertonians? Is he underpaid?
Veterans Seamus Coleman and Ashley Young, both into the final year of their contract, are earning under £3m annually. And so is 22-year-old Jarrad Branthwaite, who is the most sought-after Everton player currently with Tottenham Hotspur looking to lure the English centre-back.

Abdoulaye Doucoure has been among the most consistent performers for Everton in their midfield, and as such, he deserves every bit of the £6.76m he is earning per year as the club's highest-paid midfielder.
The same can be said about 35-year-old Idrissa Gueye, who is not too far behind Doucoure in terms of wages, although one can admit that his influence has waned in recent seasons.
Orel Mangala's loan spell at Everton isn't quite going the way he would've expected, and it could be disputed that he is being overpaid by the club.
Youngsters James Garner and Tim Iroegbunam are currently among the three lowest-paid midfielders at the club, with Dwight McNeil being the third. However, many Everton supporters will believe McNeil deserves to be one of the club's highest-paid players, given his outstanding performances this season.

Unsurprisingly, Dominic Calvert-Lewin is the highest-paid player at Everton, and rightly so, given that he has been bearing the brunt of the team's offensive dynamics ever since he joined the club in 2016.
Jack Harrison, who has been brought on loan from Leeds United for the ongoing season, is the second-highest earning forward. However, with no goals or assists to his name in the league, fans will be wondering whether he should have been brought in, let alone on such high wages.
Beto, Jesper Lindstrom, and Iliman Ndiaye are the next best-paid forwards, earning similar wages. On-loan Chelsea man Armando Broja earns just over £2m per season but hasn't found his mojo at Goodison Park yet. Neither of these players, bar Ndiaye probably, have made any noticeable impact.
