Having already seen both Panama and Canada lose in upsets, USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino will be grateful his team didn't suffer the same fate as it edged past Costa Rica Sunday night.
As for Luna, this continues his ascent under the Argentine boss. His big moment came in his 10th cap and it is appearing likely that the midfielder will be part of the World Cup roster.
WHAT NEXT FOR USMNT?
Following a dramatic penalties win over Costa Rica, the U.S. will face Guatemala in the Gold Cup semifinals on Wednesday.
